3M™ Prep Solvent-70

A clean substrate is the most important thing for the success of wrap films. Every vehicle should be prepped as follows: Wash 24 hours in advance, then clean with the entire vehicle with 70% isopropyl alcohol, use denatured alcohol for tougher areas, clean with 3M Prep Solvent-70 everywhere vinyl goes, and a final wash with isopropyl alcohol before starting the wrap.

Many shops are using pressurized air on vehicles to help eliminate dust and water droplets from hindering the adherence of the vinyl wrap.  It also works great to release small rocks from the vehicles grill that can otherwise become dislodged during install.
